I have the Midas Tac 4-16x44 mountd on a Daystate Red Wolf 22 caliber air rifle. For those who do not know, the Red Wolf is the current 'state of the art' in air rifles, costing roughly $2500, and it really needed a scope to match it's quality.
Parallax adjustment is perfect, does not shift, and is very important for an air rifle. I zeroed the scope at 30 yards, with JSB 18.13 grain pellets, and with the aid of Strelok Pro I am now shooting dead on at 150 yards (yes with an air rifle) by just clicking up. The scope returns to zero every time, with firm audible clicks and has very, very clear glass.
I will purchase another, when my Daystate Pulsar arrives.

Very clear glass, impressive quality, feels like a much more expensive scope!
Mounted on a Rem 700 SPS 223 cal 16" barrel... So not necessarily a long range rig but way good for 6-800 yards with 10 mils to work with!
Great clicks, hold zero well... Love it!!

I own the Midas Tac 4-16x44 mounted to my FX Wildcat .22 air rifle. I've been using it since September. This is my second FFP scope and my first from Athlon. I am most impressed by the quality of the turrets. There is no slop in the turrets at all. The glass is bright and clear. The parallax adjustment is spot on (very helpful for air rifles). The reticle is a bit thin at lower magnification but it just about right for precise shooting at higher magnification.
Overall I'm very pleased with the scope and I would purchase another one.

The Athlon Midas Tac 4-16x44 is the perfect hunting scope in my opinion. It has Capped Windage, FFP Mil Reticle, Precision Zero Stop, Very Audible and Distinct Elevation Turret Clicks, 30 Mil Elevation Adjustment, 4-16 Magnification, and HD Glass at an affordable price. The capped windage is a must in my option as it is one less thing to worry about because you won't have any accidental windage adjustments when carrying your rifle in the field. Dial in your elevation, do a holdover on windage, if req'd, and squeeze the trigger! Keep in mind, you can always pop the windage cap off and dial in the windage if time permits! 🙂

Absolutely blown away by the customer service from both Guidefitter and Daniel T. from Athlon customer service. I ordered this optic on Sunday morning and it shipped the same day and showed up Thursday afternoon. I ordered the 4-16x44 in MRAD. Mounted it on a Christensen Arms Ridgeline chambered in 26 Nosler. Zeroed at 100m and shot it out to 1050m and it tracks perfectly. Parallax is a work of art and the glass is VERY crisp. Turret clicks are extremely tactile and zero stop leaves nothing to be desired. Eye relief is great, and eye box is good but not amazing. The eye box and the fact that we’re are no O rings sealing the turrets is the only reason I’m giving this 4/5 stars. I’d put this up against a Vortex Razor Gen 1 5-25x50 or a Leupold VX6-HD FFP any day of the week. Well done Athlon!
